Christian Education

First Christian Church, Boulder is dedicated to addressing our community's needs and the spiritual growth of our youth. Through this dedication we have committed ourselves to enhancing existing programs as well as creating new programs that would enrich both the adults and the youth in our congregation as well as our surrounding community.

Our programs offerings include:

  • Sunday School for ages 2 to adult
  • Youth Group Activities
  • FCC Cafe
  • Nursery during Sunday School and Worship services, and for many of our special events

Sunday School classes are offered September through May at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Classes are available for children beginning at age 2, through adults. Currently, our Sunday School curriculum is "Bible Discovery." Bible Discovery is a Bible Study series. Teachers and learners come together to reflect on the biblical text and to act on what they discover there. The sessions feature the great celebrations of the Christian church, which rehearse the life of Christ and bring to believers the significant events of that life.

Our Youth Director works with the Christian Education Program to organize youth groups for elementary, middle and high school students. Meeting times and place can be found in the calendar.

The FCCafe meets every Sunday in Riley Hall. The program begins at 9:30; coffee and tea are served. The program is one of the church's adult education classes. Each Sunday a different topic is presented by a member of the church or a guest. Topics cover a wide range of interests and community concerns. For specific dates, please see the calendar.

Nursery attendants are on-hand for all FCC services to care for infants, toddlers and other youth which will not be attending regular service along side their parents. In addition, nursery attendants are available for many of our special events.
