U.M.H.E. COMING TO F.C.C.
United Ministries in Higher
Education Sunday
MARCH 11th
As has been our custom in years past, First Christian Church has invited students from United Ministries in Higher Education at C.U. to lead a service of worship. On March 11th, the group will conduct both the Golden West and sanctuary services as well as offer a presentation at that morning’s FCCafé.
We are one of the supporting congregations for this important inclusive faith presence on campus. As such, we will be receiving a special offering for our guests. Checks should be made out to the church with memo designation “UMHE.” Thank you.

THE
LEAST COIN
Who ever said that walking doesn’t pay off? More than $100 of FCC’s total Souper Bowl of Caring collection was the result of coins which Marj Collins picked up on her daily walks during the past several years.
ROSE BOWL THANK YOUS!
The flowers were lovely! Thank you,

From Margaret Cline who resides at Golden West: My thanks to all who contributed to my
beautiful rose bowl and delivered it. Her message was written on a card with a beautiful picture

To CWF,
Thank you for the Valentine. It was very pretty. You are so thoughtful.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers often. Best wishes to all at FCC.
With love, Maxine Nehring

GENERAL ASSEMBLY IS FOR
EVERY DISCIPLE
Inspirational worship, ideas for congregational transformation, hands-on
mission, and just plain fun - there's a reason for every Disciple to attend the
2007 General Assembly in
More than 8,000 members and friends of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are expected to converge on the Fort Worth Convention Center Saturday-Wednesday, July 21-25. It will be hot outside, but the air-conditioned convention center will be cool and filled with activities for all ages.
Nightly worship services feature well-known preachers and inspirational music. Morning sessions will focus on church transformation with a different keynoter each day. On Monday and Tuesday afternoons, attendees can choose between four learning tracks: Transformation, Issues Forum, Faith Formation and Creativity. Each track will offer an in-depth opportunity for learning, sharing and utilizing different learning styles. In business sessions, Disciples will discuss current issues and look at the denomination's focus for the future.
The theme of the youth events will be "The Amazing Race.” Among the stops will be mission work, ethnic restaurants, games, devotions, music, workshops and team challenges similar to the television reality show. Preschool child care will be offered during all sessions. Elementary-age programming also is offered each day.
There will be something for all ages at Assembly. See www.disciples.org/ga to register and for the latest program information.
Don't miss out!
